gahhh.. I know I know.. i haven been blogging!

hmmmm, let me see.. what can motivate me to blog?

Seriously, i do have lotsa things that i can blog about on a regular basis..
well, I must say that i'm realy faithful with my 'hardcopy' Journal! yeah journaling is great! (:

But then, i was thinking lately that i would really like to express out and write about many certain things! In a way to allow myself to be open, and let whatever there is in my unconscious mind be known... to be people around me. haa.. learn about the unconscious mind in Psychology! mann.. i've been studying that Alot lately! well, that paper is down today!! whoo hoo! very soon my exams will all be ovvverrrr! by next week! yeah yea

anyway, back to my own question- what can motivate me to blog? regularly....

Yesterday, I had a great catch up with my friend Gek Ling! wheee.. it's been quite a while since we both last really talk and hear from one another.
haa.. she's definitely still herself! yeah.. was just thinking that we often think or assume that our old friends will have some (major) change especially when we haven seen them for quite awhile.. Well, there ARE people who really Change! physically, personality wise, outlook of life etc.. haha like Fiona! one of my secondary classmates. I totally couldn't recognize her at Phae's party. haha
Anyway, most of the people i know are very much still themselves. I really feel that's good in a way. You know yourself, identity.. live and keeping up to it. Not complicating yourself too perhaps..
On another hand, I'm not saying that Change is no good. Change IS good! Yeah, go ahead.. do up ya closet! or get a new style of haircut! Go to some country n pick up a language.. Dare to be wild too! (at times i must say) hahaa

I'm glad to have 'old' friends like GekLing, and Phae.. we talk about our lives, shop, watch movies, hmmm do we talk about girl kinda stuff? yes i would say! I guess KC brought out that in us.
And the beauty that I love about these relationship is we have God in the picture too. Man.. really! i really thank God for that! It's really one of the thing keeps us connected in heart, soul n mind. wheeee (:

The Month of Birthdays

We're in the month of July! haa, i'll call it the month of Birthdays too!
Have been going and celebrating birthdays after birthdays lately.
First up is my dear friend ShanLi, Phaedre's Birthday on the 1st July. yeah, then there was Hanyew, Wei Kang, Leslie.. Going for GEORGIA's bday celebration this Friday. And next week will be WEI ZHI! And the following week Mine! (: hoooho.. i haven sent out all my invitations yet! but no worries, i've got more or less everything managed and ongoing! yayy

Back to the reality of WORK! --after A WEEK of good play and rest (:

haa.. the first individual assignment that we needed to work on required lotsa brainstorming and reflecting. I just went to see my teacher Ms Koh, and whooo praise God! I'm finally on the right track! I just needed to see that nod of her head and that 'Yes', your work is fine... can set my mind focusing on other things now..

yeah, enough of Reflection on Critical Thinking!

Let me share some of my reflections of the Jerangkang Waterfall trip I went last week...

I must say that this trip was indeed a very new and different experience for me. It was really quite an adventure!

It wasn't about bringing ya luggage, settling down in a nice hotel or resort, shopping, feasting and so on.. It Was about back packing, pitching up your own shelter, cooking your own food... well, none that i've done before. So it was very much coming out of my comfort zone, and haa, experienced a little feel of Survivour. Whooo

yeap, finally finished my packing.. gee.. don look forward to carrying that heavy bag. lol it's a dark green bag pack which makes people look like a turtle carrying it.

Yesterday, Bee hung contacted me!(: haa was glad to hear from her! as i didn't have her contact number. The happy thing was we'll be seeing each other this Saturday! coools.

I'm SO looking forward to this expedition trip too! as i'm sure i'll have a good time with all the new people i'll be going with. haa.. i hope to come back in ONE PIECE too. believe i will. haa.. (:

What a pleasent relief.

Last week was really one of the most stretching n tiring week for me (most of my classmates too) well, that makes me all the more wanna have a Good and awesome break next week!

Yeap, will be going to Kuantuan Malaysia. Heard about the nice beaches there, waterfalls, hills etc.. cool.. gonna enjoy the great outdoors! (thanks Azrin for the backpack!) (:

It's been 6 weeks in school already. Haa, and lately we've been working on 2 upcoming projects. We'll be presenting it on Thursday! wheee, i'm kinda looking forward to it.

Met up with Hui Mei and Phaedre yesterday at PS.

Phaedre and I are already thinking and planning our 21st Birthday celebration. haaa, that can be really quite stressful actually! Who to invite? What to do? How to go about in preparation, venue and so on.. but we are sure excited about it! (: So do watch out on my Invitation!

Lately my cousin, Kenneth came over to stay with my family as his brother and mum "kena" HFMD... (do hope and pray for them to get well soon too yup!)

It was interesting to have Kenneth with us in Fidelio. It's like normally will only get to see him on Sundays during family gatherings--play with him and the others. However now is like we're with him the whole day! many whole days.. haa

It kinda reminded me of how it was like with my younger sis when she was his age.

Whee.. Labour Day today! (hee, wonder who's in labour today? lol)

got to wake up later in the morning today.. had carrot cake for breakfast n then got ready to go for Juli's House warming!

yeah it was a really cool day today.. Everyone was like awed with her house. Dad loves oil painitngs, mum loves dolls..Shu Ling kept on n on with saying that "that's her house" haha.

Whee! My blog is back!
yes the long awaited revival of this blog is happening right now!
neh..well..Not much changes made (as yet) Guess it's good to keep things simple and more or less the way it is.

There were defintely much things that I went through, experience and happenings the past months.

Yeap! I'm back to school too! It's been great. Enjoying my classmates, teachers and subjects! haa.. i really miss doing Science man..

Wonder how are the high school people really doing? exams around the corner yeah?
yeap.. Do keep giving your best in all that you do~be it studying, serving and even helping out in the family. (:

On a different note.. My grandma recently passed away on Monday (21 April)
She previously suffered from a mild stroke, but it was bad enough to cause her body to weaken and detoriate much. I guess it was time for her to go.. at 86.
From Monday itself and the following evenings of attending the wake, there were so so many flash backs and memories that i can recall with my grandma. Realize that basically much of my childhood was made in my old house in 5 Harvey Avenue, and my grandma was quite a significant part of my childhood memories. (: i'm actually still keeping a toy rabbit that she gave me when i was 2!
Gee, personally i feel that I'm not exactly very close with her. Guess it was mainly due to the fact that i did not get to really communicate much with her. But I thank God for her love and all that she has offered and done for me and the family. And I pray that somehow she is under God's hands and protection.

Oh yes! I really wanna thank all who supported me. The simple messages, coupled with prayer and help touched me during that point in time. yeah.. HuiMei, ShuLing, wendy, leslie, leanne, Lestari, Carinna... (i hope i didn't miss out anyone) yeap! A BIG THANK YOU once again! (:

whee.. I shall just do a quick sharing of my time with my workplace friends today!

whee.. i really thank God for knowing her at the workplace.. she's a really nice, warm and friendly gal.. we're the same age as well! hoho..
and what's more?! Both of us are working in the morning shift together! haaa.. we normally "chopp" seats for one another.. whoever comes earlier shall reserve a place.. yaay.. n we get to talk and help one another while working!

I was sharing with my group, that God never fails to bless me with people- whom i can also call friends wherever I go.. grateful and happy!

Not only do I know May, I know Ivy as well.. haaha.. all three of us share a similarity in our names.. Our names consists of 3 letters, and it ends with "Y"! May, Ivy and Joy! = the powerpuff girls?! lol.. yeap, they are the particular two that i'm closer with in my workplace..

spent around 10mins in my room just seeking god and praying..
i was even much more refresh and charged up after that!! whoo.. the feeling was really shuang.... can't think of any other thing that can beat that!

yeah.. i was reminded by HS about the significance of the big picture today.. Was sharing with Cheng while travelling on the bus with her this afternoon.. Gee, i'm pretty sleepy now to really type out more on it.. but yeah.. I'm glad to be reminded on this.. I just love it when God just drop some reminders and things in our lives.. that leads us on..

hooo.. Had training today.. at the call centre of Mac delivery.. I was literally dozing off during the training! but after 10mins of dozing off, i was pretty much awake n moving on again!
haaa.. i'm pretty amazed by my body system lately.. cool.. i think i'm adapting well with lesser hours of sleep.. (: a few of you may know that i'm one who needs quite "alot" of hours of sleep..

really wanna maximise my time much more-wisely n fruitfully!

Got to catch up with Wendy and Yi Wei this week.. whoo.. Finally their Exams are over! you've given your best shot for the papers already.. so yeap.. jus trust in God in the results.. REMEMBER to Give Thanks in all circumstances! (:

Went shopping with Wendy on Wed.. haaha.. I'm her "Lucky Star"! yeap.. we manage to buy the stuff that we want and needed. Fruitful shopping! And also borrowed a few books from the library.. oh yeah.. wendy.. Do take good time to read the book- Good Morning Holy Spirit. It's a really good book! You'll learn n understand more about the Spirit and how significant he is in your life!

Then on Thurs, went with YiWei to Orchard. whoo.. I also took this chance to visit DFS (where i worked during my internship). I've never stepped into that place ever since my internship! And it has changed tremendously! It's more luxurious looking now.. haa.. i saw a number of familiar faces, all the staffs that i've worked with.. gee.. but i did not get to even say Hi to them as they were busy, and partly i was kinda shy going up to them to talk..
Many flashbacks of the times where i worked there came to me as I walk down the streets of Orchard.

Daughter, I definitely had much fun catching up with you.. haa.. with all the funny happenings as well!

Hope 16th Anniversary

Last Saturday, Hope celebrated its 16th Anniversary! At downtown East... whoo.. it was a real feast as everyone in the church gathered to praise n worship, to remember and give thanks and to enjoy the fellowship as one Big Family! (:
Our Hope Bangkok worship team came together with Pastor PN! whoo.. it was definitely a great privilege to have them with us in this celebration!

The high energy and contagious Spirit of Pastor Prayuth(the worship leader) was truly amazing. You can literally see him oozing out with joy and gladness as he praises and sings to God. He just expressed and danced with every muscle from his body! (not to forget, he is in his 5os!)

As for Ps PN, he is definitely one man who has much faith in his heart that overflows out in his speech and action. You can see it very evidently in him, as he preached on Faith that makes an Impact.

Loved all his sharings.. haaha.. The "rain stories", how the HS led them to hit a specific goal every service. whoo.. it was all so amazing!

Believe this 16th Anniversary service moved me alot. It reminded me to Give Thanks and to have an Attitude of Faith. Yes, these are the 2 main things that I brought back that night.

Happiness is...

Researchers have found some underlying factors for happiness.
- Married people are more content than singles, but having children does not raise happiness level.
- Education and IQ seem to have little impact on happiness
(haaha.. my sister sounded pretty happy on this fact!--pls do study hard still! Exams are coming for most ppl yeah!)
-Attractive people are only slightly happier than the unattractive.
-The elderly -over 65- are more satisfied with their lives than the young.
(well, that should be quite true, they have gone through quite a lot in life already...)
-Friendships are crucial if you want to be happy.
(believe many of us would nod in agreement to this...)
-As much as 50% of the happiness factor is genetic. Like body weight, moods can swing only so much from their natural "set point". But educators say people can be taught the habits of optimism and how to handle negative thoughts.

whoo.. it's interesting to know that 50% of the happiness factor is genetic!
that perhaps explains why some people are generally more cherpy and happy, and while some are not as so...
Well, at the end of the day... We all know that it's GOOD to be happy! why be negative and sad in life?
Glad to hear that the habits of optimism can be taught!

Today as i was reading a book... I recall this song that i was taught 8 years ago...By Sister Josephine... haa.. I was a P6 then! It's really interesting how this song is very much imprinted deeply in my head and dearly remembered till now. I think it's God.

I'm reminded that the Holy Spirit is someone, a person, and he longs to be part of our lives.
Yes! He longs to fellowship with us, to speak to us and to guide us.
He has feelings as well. He gets hurt when we do things that isn't right and good. (Mannn.. I pray that we do not grieve the Holy Spirit... It hurts me to see Him being hurt..esp, if i were do to so..)
He is happy when we do things that pleases the Lord and when we desire to be with Him.

Relief Teaching, Happy bday kesha

Gee.. My modem has been down for a few weeks already! Have not been spending much time using the computer.. which also explains the lack of updates and stuff here at my blog..
Would love to blog about quite a number of things.. But i shall just share about my recent two days of Relief Teaching at Canossa Convent Primary School! (:

Yeap! Finally I get to relief teach! On the 1st of August!
I was taking a Primary 2 class. Man are they really quite a handful!
haaha.. have not been mixing around with kids of that age for quite some time..
yeah.. it was kinda tought initally i felt.. in knowing how to handle them and lead them to learn things.. You've gotta be really be firm with them.. Show that you are confident, and don't let them climb over you.. and you've gotta show genuine love and care for them too. Yup

I think i've learnt quite alot from these 2 days so far..
I told myself that i've got to learn how to be more firm with them.. Not being too "nice" to them.. well.. i would say.. you should not show that your nice.
There are many times where i had to really raise my voice to get their attention and speak to them.. haaha.. that explains why my throat is kinda painful now.. :(

Thought that many things that i experience thru these 2 days links quite alot to work in ministry as well.. serving, growing and leading in church.. It's really interesting..

Oh ya! the girls in my class are really sweet, cute n FUNNY! There are so many incidents i can recall that they did that makes me smile or laugh!
Working with young children is really nice.... you get to learn alot from them too actually.

oh yes.. to end off.. I just wanna wish my sheep, Kesha...

Wheee.. gee.. oops! i know i have not updated my blog for quite some time!
Pushed myself to do on this fine, HOT Sunday afternoon.. haaha

yeah.. i came back from my Brisbane Trip the previous wed, 11 july.. how will i descibe the trip? --- GOOD! wow.. The Ablaze Youth Camp was awesome! So are the people as well! I really love the openess, friendliness and "funness" of the people! Mannn.. I'm missing them alot already!

God did speak to me in a personal way through many various things during the trip. And i'm really glad to have this chance to hear and capture more things from daddy.. in a foreign and beautiful place.. I'm indeed refreshed after this trip! And i think i have very much gained much weight too! haaahaa.. this time round my fats are not really hidden! yeap.. I've been Eating ALOT throughout the trip.. goshh.. I am determine to work out now man!

oh yeah.. It's really good to be back at Singapore! whoo.. i really can't wait to apply all the things that i've captured and learnt from the trip back here in spore.. Man.. Much more effort and hard work to be put into CG08 i would say..
To accomplish a great task, comes great and big actions!

Friday's Bubble Tea Party went pretty good i felt.. Really thank God for the 8 new faces who came! - Michelle, Joanne, Ai Jing, Hui Min, Rena, Xiao Yan, Wesley and Carol! Whee.. Yesterday was Youth Day! haaha.. I believe very much I ought to be still able to celebrate this day..! I'm still young mann!

Anyway.. that's not so much of the point..

Met up with the unit that day.. haaha.. there were quite a number of complications initially.. but thank You Father for still seeing to us having a good time together at Amanda's House! wheeeee.. thank You Amanda too! (: We all sure loved ya house..

My Sundays, my cousins, child-like spirit

How do I normally spend my Sundays? Well, Sunday is a family day for my family.. yeap.. My grandparents would normally cook more and better dishes on this day.. -whoo.. yum yum! I love it when they cook Hokkien Mee (the soup is really good!) and i love to eat popiah prepared by them too! Thank God for great grandparents who are good cooks!

Then I'll get to see my cousins! N PLAY with them..

He is 3 years old this year.. still pretty small size n yes.. adorable..

Here's Dylan! Boy is he a really active n hyper boy.. It's rare that i can capture a clear picture of him.. haha.. I don't really know why.. but i see some things in Dylan that reminds me of Ps Jeff! whoo.. haaha

Today is my beloved shepherd and dear brother's birthday!

To my shepherd first...
Really wanna say that I'm so glad n thankful to have you as part of my life! Through this past one year n so, I've got to know you better and am impacted by you in many small ways.. yet they are all very significant learnings and things that I've captured from you.
You are indeed one who sincerely cares for people and you do your best to give, and shower love unto people who are close to you, around you and whoever that walks passes your life.
It's also from you where i see how this principle is shown once again... That is action speaks louder than words.
Thank you Debbie for your life! yes.. I am looking forward too! to the months n years ahead to grow together with u! (:

hmm.. not too sure if you do come to read my blog.. oh well.. i'll still pen down what i wanna say to you.. (:
You've influence me in many various aspects and things. haaha.. I'm still loving aeroplanes, watching documentaries, the thirst to learn new things, doing cheeky stuff at times and many others!
We may not get to see one another that often now and do things together, but you are very much the same... and meeting you and having small chats with u on sundays are pleasant.
Continue to work hard in what you do... (haa, ya all along pretty dilligent already!) and i hope to be able to find more time with you do certain things together.. Perhaps let's go travel somewhere together one day! or hmmm... i don know.. play sports or go watch movies!

No less than greatness

Whee.. My first post in the month of June which is coming to an end soon.. whoo.. yeap.. It's been quite some time since i last blogged. The month of June seems to go by pretty fast! But there were lotsa things and happenings in June -preparing for camp, CAMP itself and preparing for sch n CG 08!
Been loving everything that God is speaking to me and doing in my life and in the group. Some things may be abit more painful and hard.. But when you know it's from God and the purpose and goal of it.. It doesn't seem that pain and hard anymore.

Caught this when I was browsing through a book at Bedok library.

We fulfill our desire for greatness in learning to fulfill our basic nature as children of God, from whom we have inherited a trememdous capacity for love.
In learning to love well through every relationship that we have, we touch greatness beyond anything the world honours and offers.
Each of us has a divine assignment to live in and express love.

See... all of us would want to seek for greatness in life.. And greatness is not found in achievements or acquisition, but in the lesson of learning to love well. And daily life is our classroom! Yes! it's through our daily life where we learn how to love and live.

One last thing to leave with you...
Who you really are is a child of God.
Nothing is missing; there is only much to be revealed...

what i captured on the 30th and 31st May

The past 2 days were 2 almost full days at Nexus!

on the 30 May, went for a relationships seminar. (ohh.. then i stayed over at Lest's place! whees)
Then on 31 May, went for Missions Conference!

whoo..yes. I definitely learnt much in these 2 days!

In today's Mission Conference, i was very inspired by Ps Sandy from VFH.. She was sharing on how Missions Transforms! Transforms us, our very lives as well as others! It was nice hearing her share some of her experiences and hear of how God moved and did many wonderful things in her life as she avails herself..

She mentioned on responding when God speaks to us.. Respond! Don't have to delay.. if not..God will just continue tugging at you.. haahas.. Then I kept recalling the time when i was at Thailand.. That was actually my very first time really really responding to God! As i'm reminded about that day, I was telling God that I'll always remember that day when I responded.. I may not be able to act in going for missions or even church planting right now.. But that is something I will keep in mind. SO that means that I've got to start preparing myself now!
Dennis was sharing to us after the conference that CG08 is very much link to church planting. It's simply the miniature of what we'll do when we go OUT to win the world.. CG08 is the miniature of the Great Commission. Yes, CG08 is our local Great Commission! (Btw, for ya info, CG08 means seeing a CG[community] in every sch in spore!)
whooo.. And I really want to make sure I play my part in seeing this come to past.

Preparing myself (to GO!) would mean-
*Doing my best in my part of CG08
*Knowing what are my responsibilities, what i gotta DO
*And really doing what i gotta do!
*There are bound to be obstacles and tough times, I need to go bring myself to go thru all of that! yeap.. with God definitely! How can i ever live without Him!
On this point.. isn't it true that if we can't deal and overcome with problems now, how are we gonna deal with the problems in church planting?
*Walking with God closely every single day. And doing His work, His way.
I need to build my spiritual life strong mannn.. whooo..
*Just thought of this last point.. Be able to lead and work well with others! And together, we'll WIN! Together we'll see CG08 come to past! We gotta work well in our teams.

haahaas.. Sharlene tapped on my shoulder during the conference, and told me.. "Let's quickly complete CG08! And let's go church planting together!"
haa.. yeah.. And i was continously nodding my head in agreement to her.
Seriously.. we may sound that we're all out to go already.. but.. i don't think it will be too soon as well.. we still got to studyyyy, and see to other things first. BUT then.. It's always good to have in mind about the bigger picture (God's heartbeat is for the world) and preparing ourselves.. Preparation is indeed important.

Act local, think global.

Mum at Camp!

I'm really really Glad n Happy..... cos at this very moment.. My mum is at CAMP!

yeah.. I brought my mum to the adult service ever since 1st of April 07.. Thank God for her follow-upper, Tracy! She's amazing! haas.. A spirit of love and sincerity oozes out from her.. and whenever you talk to her, she'll somehow leave you feeling encouraged. She'll remind you of how we should keep going to God n trusting in Him esp. when we face with problems or tough times..

Anyway.. yes! This is my mum's first camp! I seriously believe that she'll have a good chance to get to know her CG better, and more importantly.. to get a touch n word from God! That is really much better than any other thing that she or any one would get!

I've been praying praying for God to simply move much more in her life. And i believe He will cause a positive change in my mum n we'll see things take a better turn in her life.. (:

Thailand Trip 26april-4May 07

wheeee.. i'm now finally blogging about the Thailand trip that i went to about a month ago. (26 April-4 May 07)

This is my second time to Thailand.. As i recall the previous trip i went with 7 others in 2005 for the thai camp.. much memorable memories flashed back.. Many asked how was the pevious trip differenet from this year.. I'm like.. It's seriously pretty much the same feel, the camp program, the places we go are very much the same.. But there are definitely many different things. The experiences gained and how God was with me and in teahcing me many things in this trip. (:

I thank God for the couple of valuable things he spoke to me and the experiences i had that no one will fully grasp except me! whoo.. (I've shared to most of you already.. if not, yeah.. can always come to ask me to share with u!)

yeah.. That's the 5 of us who went (:
That's the first day.. We were at the Budget Terminal.. all ready to go!

haaha.. check this out! At the top of the taxi, do you see that green luggage? yeah.. that's mine!
I was like.. whoaah.. my luggage might drop during the journey.. and there goes all my stuff on the very first day! haaaha.. but later on the taxi driver fastened the bags on top with some strings.. n yeah.. they were safe!

The frist 2 days were simply walking around, shopping, eating and more shopping!

We all bought quite alot of stuff, went for massages n tried alot of Thai food.. yeah.. Thai food is not bad.. most of the food had a unique and distinct taste..

FOOT MASSAGE! It was something i've been loonnnggg longing for! They let me soak my feet in this basin of warm water.. then this lady helped to wash n clean my feet.. haas.. was thinking of Jesus washing his disciples' feet.

Whooo.. This is the Camp site! It's Khon Kean University.. Whenever i see this building.. I'm like.. This IS the place where you'll get blown away!!

This is the interior of the building.. The hall where we gather to Praise n worship and to listen to the Word. *The place is actually much bigger than u can see from this pic.. There were LOTS of people too! Awwwweeesssomee....

One of the highlights in the camp was this night called the Mission Night..I was seriously excited about it! yeah.. Ps PN preached on Mission Possible! Did learn n capture much from that night.. Ps PN mentioned that mission is not hard, it is possible with God! 2 things to take note. Have a burden for mission and know the purpose of mission.

That night made me know more and see much more possibility in doing much more for the Kingdom!

I responded, and asked God to widen my vision and dream.. To see further in what is in store for me. I pray for more God's anointing as well! - I can seriously do with more of that when i really want to do Greater things! I want to step out more!

wheee.. n yes! Pastor PN layed hands on me!! I believe anointing flows! yeahhh..
Yeap.. He's Pastor PN! (: Let me share to you more about this man.. He's the senior Pastor in Thailand.. and you know what? He's one of the few who walked closely with our very own church founder.. He was discipled and shepherded by our founder! Isn't that cool? It's like Jesus discipling and shepherding Peter, James n John!

That's the 5 of us all fired up to Take the WORLD! waaahaaaha.. oopss.. it should not be take the world.. it should be WIN the WORLD!!! For Jesus! yeahh.. Amen!

I recently watched this video with Jas at Church Office.. The title - One Man, one World.

The main essence of this video is that one man CAN change the world! Believe it!

well.. it's definitely not a one man show kind of thing.. It's more of.. YOU personally believing you play a part in changing the world and Influencing others to do it together with you.. in fact, mobilize and enlist as much help around you as possible!

whooo.. It's great to think big n global! But before we think n do global, let's think n do locally first.. -Am excited about CG 08!! Can't stop thinking about it!

Another highlight of the camp was HOPE GAMES!

haa.. it was like Sports Day! There were much cheering, games, dancing and many more things! We all sure did have a fun time! haas.. there were fireworks too! wheee.. lovely

haaha.. We had something to perform on the field too that day! We internationals did some aerobics! Thank God for this opportunity for me to work-out! Have not been exercising these days.. you all mus have notice my flabby arms! haaha.. btw, can u see me? I'm at the left hand corner, the one wearing shorts. yup!

That's Lilian!!!! I was soooo glad to see her again!! She was the one who first approached me.. and i actually took like 8 secs to recognize her! haaha.. yeah.. She's serving in Hope Perth! Met her in the recent mission trip i went to in March.. Caught up with others in the camp as well.. Alan, Benjung, Joseph etc.. Cool!

Oh yaaa.. it was a pleasent surprize to see the Hope Sibu people in the camp too! Met Ah Be, Na and two other guys.. gees.. i keep forgetting their name! oopss

I realize one thing about Thai Camp.. It's literally like a Hope Family gathering!! it's really cool..

One of the main thing i was looking forward in this trip is to meet and interact with PEOPLE!

yeah.. and i really did meet up with a number of people whom i've met before.. i got to know many new people as well!

There was this guy and lady who could recognize me.. n i could not recognize them! we met in 2005.. gees.. i feel bad.. i guess it's also bcos i have STM.

Hees.. gee.. Blogger seems to be lagging a bit.. i shall stop here for now.. will continue the next time when I'm able to!

Whee.. Finally have one morning that I'm free to blog!

gee.. as i don't really have a habit to blog everyday.. at times i'll miss out penning down some happenings and activites..

Here's a few!

Last Sunday, 20 May... Louis got water baptized! yeah.. He simply went despite his mum not fully allowing him too.. But he sure did have an interesting way in still letting his mum know about this decision he made. Praise God! *(oh ya.. It's Xin Yi's birthday on that day too! A blessed n happy birthday to u girl.. )

My mum went with me.. (: whee.. got to catch up with a couple of my friends too! *Nice* Our TP jouney seem to have really gone by pretty fast! oh wellll... It's nice n good to know that it has come to an end...!

As most of you should now know that I'm planning to take a 1 year break before I go back to studying again.. In this 1 year would really be a break for me.. To take a breather.. Focus more on ministry, do relief teaching, learn driving, and many more other things that i'll see into using my time in.. This 1 year is surely not gonna go into waste! In fact, I'm really excited about this 1 year.. and I HAVE been enjoying and loving it so far!

haas.. realized that there are a few people i know who are also kinda taking a 1 year break.. Chantelle! My sheep-mate and a few of my school-mates.. pretty cool..

Proverbs!

I was telling God that i wanna get more wisdom! haa.. and what a better way to draw wisdom than from the Book of Proverbs. (not forgetting.. you can simply ask God for it too > James 1:5-6)

Yeah, I'm now reading Genesis and going through the book of Proverbs. It has been really good! I also started journaling down what I learn and captured from reading the Bible. (whoooo.. I have NOT done that for quite a long time! yeah.. go ahead.. start WRITING down what you learn from the Bible! It's amazing!)

Just want to list down 3 different kinds of statements... (there are more than these too!)

-There are LAWS - these are commands that I'm always supposed to do
eg. Deu 6 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart > yes! Everyone is to love God that way.

- And there are PROMISES - this is a gurantee of what God will do or a guarantee of what will happen.
eg. Rom 8 - Nothing can seperate us from the love of God. > Isn't this promise great?!

- And then there are PROVERBS- A proverb is a catchy desciption about the way things generally are.

Haven been blogging for awhile..

Had a really good past week of soaking myself in teachings..
yeah.. april 11-13 were days where i went with my sheep lestari to church office to listen to the DVD-Leadership Summit. Whoo.. we really learnt much from Bill Hybels and Andy Stanley.
They are becoming our next "ou xiang"! haaha..

I had a really nice past weekend.
On friday 23 March, met up with Xin Yi in the early afternoon. It was interesting visiting her in her sch, Tamp Sec.. Got the chance to talk to her and play with her as well. Though it was a rather short meet up, but I felt good after meeting her.. (: Thanks Xin Yi for your presence.. enjoy the child-like and "naughty" you! Will miss you when you move on to your new CG.
I bumped into the grads in EC in Tamp interchange. They were on their way to Pulau Ubin. Cool! I hope to go to Pulau Ubin one day.. With my group people as well!

I met up Fiona later in the evening in Bugis. A short and good time catching up with her.. We'll have our round 2 coming up soon alright!!
I did not get to spend a really long time with her as I went to have dinner with Eleanor and a few others. She's from Hope Melbourne!

I really think that it's really cool meeting up with her and getting to know her that evening!
Found out that she is one of the people who takes care of Anita! really cool.. Got to find out and understand better how is anita doing and stuff.
Whoo.. Eleanor is serving in the Youth and kids ministry in Melbourne. She's quite a busy person.. as she has her work and ministry to juggle with.
Something that I captured from her and also from the recent mission trip to Hope Perth is that- It is our Hope Vision and movement that compels people to give their best and all, serving God like there's no other better things in the world (which is true too!)
That is why people like Eleanor will not mind stretching herself and dedicating her life to the work of the Lord.
She was asking me and Zach to connect to her friend, Isaac to our church during his 3 weeks in Spore. Though he goes to another church, she still wants him to go and experience how Hope is like.. I like it when she said this.. "Hope is one the place where you'll really see yourself knowing God and experiencing Him best.. through the way we mobilize people in serving Him."
Was talking to Louis recently in the cl retreat.. and he mentioned that Hope is a church that literally follows everything in the Word!! What more can we ask and expect? THIS IS the place to be in!! If you wanna know and experience and follow God..
haa.. I'm really convicted of this recently! Would want to share more and get more people on board in this great family!!

Oh.. then on 24 March Sat. We had a farewell for the grads who are moving on to the tertiary group.. Whee.. It was a pretty moving n touching atmosphere in America Room then.. You could hear sniffs sniffs here n there.. Gee.. I will miss these people who are moving on.. Though I may not really know all of you very well.. But i know that you guys have played a significant part in the East. (:
Will surely miss you Serene.. Though we may still keep in touch.. but it'll be kinda different i feel.

I esp enjoyed the night where we hang around outside Coffee Bean (for shelter as it was raining), playing games and doing forfeits! We also played captain's ball.. haa.. And Winstar got into my WANTED list of "mean" people.. not to forget Louis too! You are definitely in that list too.. He got flour right into my face! arrgghh.. A few of us were tired of playing captain's ball.. so we gathered at a corner and had our TCS - Talk Cork Session.. haaha! And slowly.. there were more people joining this group of ours.. From talking, it went on to singing songs! Lotsa old songs esp.. It was really nice recalling and singing old songs.. (: they bring back much memories as well.. whoo..
We made it in not sleeping throughout the night~! clap clap clap esp to those who are not night owls..

Sunday was of much resting and spending time with family..
Thank God that i got the chance to talk n discuss about my "future" with my mum n aunt.. Felt good sharing to them what i have in mind.. wheeeeee.. It's gonna be a bright and great future! (aiyoo.. future sounds very far.. ) anyway.. I'm looking forward to yet another new week!

Aussie (Perth) Mission Trip

Whoo.. Haven been blogging lately.. computer had some problems and was seeing into other more important stuff.. Nevertheless.. I'm here to blog! And I shall first blog about the LAND OF AUSSIE that I went to last week (9-16 March)

haaha.. It was a really good and enriching trip! I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it! The weather, the people, the food, the expereinces and all my first-times!

I guess i will use pictures to do most of the talking...
Yeah, as I've already shared to most of you how the trip was..i will not do much sharings here. If you wanna find out more, just COME TALK TO ME! (:

Believe all in all, this trip helped to expand my heart for missions and it is also through this trip that I'm so proud to be in THIS HOPE VISION and movement. Am convicted to spread and get more people involve and committed to this vision!

First day - We went to visit Canning College and Curtin University
Simply LOVE the weather there.. The grass, the trees, the wind... whooo..

the second day -and there was FUNTASIA! It was a youth service with a fairy tale theme.. haaha.. but we weren't really in fairy tale costumes.. Can u tell what we were?
yeah.. Got to know more ppl that day too. I met this China girl, Rebecca. She's a really nice girl.. and jus being a few weeks old believer, she was already having this amazing eager and excited spirit to know and expreince more of God in her life! (ehh.. shall put up a pic of her soon!)

The first pic shows our very dirty feet! It was a result of walking around and serving people in the BBQ we had! It was actually a MCG for the contacts we gathered during evax at Curtin Uni.. Wow.. Outreaching at Curtin was a really exciting and cool expereince! God sure was with us as we saw the success of the MCG!

This is a bigger group photo! haa.. if you find those who are not familiar.. they are the ones from Hope Perth! whee.. most of them in the picture were the ones who we stayed with.. They sure were really good hosts! We spent lotsa time together learning and sharing with one another.. And it wasn't just work there.. We had lotsa fun times together too!

Thought I should blog before I go to Perth tonight!

Wow.. as the date draws nearer, the excitement in me literally builds up.
Just got to know more details and finalized certain things yesterday. yeah, it's really cool and exciting! Me and 6 others(Lest,Flor,Jeslin,Huijuan,YongKang n Zachary) are gonna go to Hope Perth to imaprt and minister what we can to our best. And in return, we are sure gonna be blessed and refreshed through this trip! As what zach mentioned in his objective.. to have an EXCHANGE. yeah.. and i was thinking.. it's gonna be a GREAT EXCHANGE!

Shall pen down my objectives here as well...

whee.. actually i feel that this mission trip is really a great chance to apply and put into action what God spoke to me when I was in LC sometime in Feb.. And that is to exercise courage in evangelism and simply sharing it from my heart, how i know and experience God in my life. (to evangelize on a bigger scale too? -we'll be going to evax in the uni schools in perth! woww! am excited about that) The other thing is to Teach and share from my convictions and being convicted about bascially the truths n godly principles and values. See the need to impart esp to the younger generation. (hmmm.. feels like i'm old! nehhhh)

The second one is to go there with an open mind. Want to be open to the culture, to changes (being flexible) and also to be open to the Holy Spirit!

The third one is to see myself being more courageous. Believe that there's gonna be times where I need to do certain things which I would not really imagine myself doing so.. yeah.. so I really want to courageously do my best in what God or circumstances calls me to. This kinda links to wanting to see myself being more confident of myself, and trusting in God more.

Yeah, that should about it. wheeeeeeee.. I'm really excited! Do pray along with me that this trip will be a really fruitful and worthwhile one!

oh yes.. East B and East! Let's really jia you! Let's seek to want to grow in our spiritual life and seek to see growth in the group! This I feel is really just the beginning..... It's possible to break 30 when we seek to see the possibility and start working.. and working hard

yaay.. Am really HAPPY today!

Watched a really touching scene in Tyra banks show this morning.. Tyra helped and arranged to reunite people! Those who are looking for their love ones.. like a long lost sibling etc.. it's really nice n sweet to see them reunite in the show.. really cool..

Brought my sis out today n met Lestari in the afternoon.Bumped into Fiona and Shirls too. haa.. Heavy rain! wet my new shoes... sian.. it made my feet really pain.. then bought a new pair of slipper! it's really nice n comfy......whooo..

The highlight of my day was meeting and catching up with Phaedre! She's my sec classmate.. a very nice, unique and interesting girl.. We're pretty different though.. but i really enjoy her company! (:
It's really looonnggg since i met up with her.. It feels really good to see her today! and once we met.. it was taaaallllkkkiiinnggg non stop.. haaa..
We went to Suntec, Country Manna to have our dinner.. Whee.. it's a really NICE place! GOOD FOOD! wooww.. going there with a hungry stomach really added much taste n delight in eating!
it's really really a nice and comfortable evening with Phaedre.. Chatting and catching up with one another while having really good food..
The time spent with her was actually also a refreshing time for me.. feels pretty much different talking to a friend who seems far;distant from you, yet is still able to connect easily when we meet. It's a really sweet and nice feeling..
Glad to hear from you girl..really glad to know that your doing pretty well spiritually and overall.. I do kinda see a change in you today actually.. Your rather different now from the last time i was with you.. It's a good thing! and a good change.. There's more coming for you! It may be hard.. but keep having that positive and right attitude! and yes.. keep in step with our Father.. Everything is gonna be alright with Him! (:

WHOO HOOO.... Exams are finally over.. seriously can't believe that my TP journey has already more or less come to an end! haa.. it has been an interesting journey.. with lotsa new experiences, new FRIENDS and new 'discoveries' of myself and the world....

Wow.. the feeling of having lotsa time now to look into and do other things other that studying and doing assignments;projects IS Shiok! yeeaaaaahhhh.. *Lestari i am officially full time with u now! Let's make use of our March fruitfully!
I really hope to draw closer to God during this break.. n also to many people.. And to work on developing myself.. Discipling and growing others around me (and that includes the group!)

The first thing that i'm gonna do in the following week is to meet all my sheeeeeepie! (Yinghui, Mabel, Lestari, Fiona and Louis!)
We're gonna taaaalllkkk, chill and spur one another on in forwarding the kingdom...
yeah.. gonna catch up with many others as well.. (:

wheeee.. This week is a more "slack" week already.. No more projects, no more tests! yes.. 2 subjects down!

Last week, 6-8 Feb was at LC in JB! whoo.. it was my FIRST! LC was definitely a refresher for me. A time to simply rest physically and spiritually.

Nursing for me?

wheeeee... nursing for me? yeah.. very much i would say.. it has been my interest ever since secondary school. Was very much uncertain of that interest at that time.. Went to take up Business, gave myself somemore time to understand myself better, expereince more things and hear from others..

Well, I must say that this passion in nursing grew.. It's an avenue to care, love and give to people who are ill, not feeling well or even on the verge of death. Perhaps it's something in me to enjoy the hospital environment and be part of healing people.. (: Many also say that it's a noble job and it's in demand... haa.. And don't have to worry so much in getting a place to work. I can even travel easily with the knowledge in nursing.. (haa.. perhaps that might be an avenue to go church planting too!)

I can't really think and imagine myself doing other things than this.. geee.. BUT i want to be open to other things and aspects that may be better for me (and for the kingdom)
However.. I really really really want to go into NUS Nursing the more i come to think about it..
I get to be in the same school as my brother! and many other friends! like Phaedre, sharlene, jas, api etc.... I get to meet up with my brother more often, have meals n stuff.. i get to stay in the hostel too! --more freedom i would say.. waahaaha.. can do more things too!

Will see how things goes.. Am praying hard about this too.. Do lead me to right path dear Lord.. I know You will.. (:

I remember playing Monopoly with my brother almost everyday when i was in Pri school.. haa..it was really fun playing that game with my brother..

Just some expressions I'm expressing now.... In school! lol.. Have been spending hours in front of the computer doing my POE report, assignments....... And a much needed break is required for me now.. (Which is why I decided to blog!) haaa.. One of the many things that would brighten me up are KIDS! Many a times when we serve together, play together, rejoice and suffer together (simply doing life together!), we often fail to express or verbally tell one another that we love one another.. We may love in our hearts, but it's also very important to EXPRESS it out.. especially to the ones we really love and work closely with. When we remember to express and remind one another that "I Love You", it would really help to lift us up and keep us going in life!

So to all the sheep.. Tell your shepherd that you love them
To all the shepherds.. Tell your sheep that you love them
To all the armour-bearers, members etc etc.. Tell your leaders that you love them!

whoooo.. i have not blogged for quite some time already..

Have been busy and caught up with many things.. one after another.. School, camp, Christmas, etc! Would really like to blog in detail what happened in camp, christmas etc.. but think i shall do that more another time! haa.. esp when i get photos from others.. It would be good to share and type more with the help of pictures.. (:

18Dec -- Went overnight at Dennis's place.. Had loads of choc!

25 Dec -- Went to Dawn's house to swim n play! Had a great time with u girls..!
And also .. Had a feast at the RC at night. Thanks Dennis for it!

Then today.. On the 27th Dec.. I went to watch Death Note 2 with Louis.. whooo.. it's a cool n interesting movie.. Now i know why my sheep, YH like it so much.. haaha..

AND ALSO..... ahhh.. Very sadly..... My hamster Hammie passed away!! boo hoo hoo.. (Let's take a moment of silence to mourn for him..)
Oh well, believe he passed away peacefully.. nothing bad happened to him.. He just died of old age.. He has lived a good 2 years n 3 months.... (: We'll miss you Hammie!

CL Retreat (Kite Flying Experience n Learnings!)

We had CL retreat on Wednesday 6 Dec

Wheee.. will not share too much.. you'll definitely hear almost the same things that people will say.. "It was fun! I learnt alot! Great fellowship! etc etc.." Yep.. all those were true too~!

Shall blog down what i learnt from kite flying!
(Thanks Dennis for bringing us to Marina to fly kites!) haaa.. 90% hav never tried kite flying before.. We were all excited about it.. ! n jus really jus whack n tried to fly our own kites..

For me.. Think it was really my first time trying out kite flying ON MY OWN! coool.. did experience alot n even learnt much from it!

1. (When it's your first time flying a kite) Know that IT'S POSSIBLE FOR THE KITE TO FLY HIGH! Just get the method right. And keep trying.

When you know and see with your eyes that it's possible to reach goals, it's possible to solve certain problems, it's possible to love the unlovable, it's possible to get an A for Math... Yes it is also possible for You!!

2. The rise and fall of the kite depends on the kite flyer.

The rise and fall of the group depends largely on the leader. Leaders! Make that difference!
(East B is gonna soar! 32 by end Jan!)

3. People can teach you how to fly a kite, but at the end of the day.. You've got to try and do it own ya own. Keep asking questions along the way whenever you can't do it or make mistakes.

We may receieve many teachings, advices and guidance from out shepherds, leaders and pastors... But they are not the ones who are responsible for your spiritual life or your group totally.. You are the one that needs to put what u learn into practice! You are the one who needs to go out there.. make mistakes n take chances! In leading your caregroups, in outreaching.. etc.. learn .. n "do it your way!"

4. It's an attitude thing! You need to have a positive attitude to make your kite fly eventually.

Similarly in ministry, or in other things that we do.. It really starts of with the heart attitude, followed and coupled with skills to bring much success!

Do NOT give up!

Oh my! I'm getting worried to play for the HOPE OLYMPICS GIRLS SOCCER! haaaaha.. It was firstly Chloe.. who "warned" me that Central is gonna beat East.. To add on.. Joyce from Northwest is in it too! then it was YuQian telling me she is the game leader for soccer (haa.. that's not that scary i believe.. YuQian i believe you'll be good to me! haaaha) Then I read Mabel's blog! waaaahaaaa.. It's true.. we definitely do have a "weird" made up.. Mickey n Mabel n myself in soccer.. (gee.. i doubt any one of us knows how to REALLY play soccer) n Dawn who is so strict in her dieting plans IS in KING OF FOOD.. Oh well.. We may not be really good sports people (compared to Central.. woahh) But we have the spirit to WIN! yeah.. we are gonna go there and WHACK big time!

It's back to school this week!!! wheeee.. i Shall go back to school with tip top spirits! Thank You Father for assuring me that you are in control and you are with me.

Gee.. I knew I won't be regular in blogging..

Anyway.. Shall blog about today and things thus far..

Today is my last day at work! Goodbye DFS.. Goodbye long hours of work.. Goodbye to all those whom I worked closely with.. Frances, Hawa, Esther, my managers, my friends, the security guards.. woah.. so many of you people! I'll definitely miss you all! It's really the people who makes the difference in the workplace.. It's the people whom you'll remember the most.. It's the people whom you learn a lot from..

This 2 plus months at DFS indeed gave me much learnings and experiences.. whoo.. Tasted how tiring work can actually be.. (perhaps it's more of the retailing line) Tasted how exciting and challenging it can be as well.. Oh well.. Whatever it is.. One thing I have to say and conclude is that one ought to carry a positive attitude wherever you go.. Giving words of encouragements and motivations to yourself brings you a long way.. Giving smiles to people makes things easier..

Whoo.. It's back to school on Monday! So fast! It's like you can't really take a good breather..... Well.. Tomorrow is Saturday! A day to meet God, people and HAVE FUN! I'm GONNA spend my time well tmr.. jus simply enjoying every single thing.. my last Saturday without the concern of studies or work.. well.. can focus more on thinking about the group n stuff..
God.. I pray for everyone to be ministered tmr.. Speak to us O Lord.. May our hearts be open for u to do so.. I pray for the visitors and NBs who are coming as well.. Holy Spirit move and stir in their hearts..

My First Blog!!

Whee.. I have finally decided to start a blog! I find so many people asking me if I do have one.. and there's people who told me it's good to have one.. Oh well.. Seriously speaking.. I find blogging something troublesome and i've got a feeling I won't update mine as often..
HOWEVER.. recently, i was rather convicted to start a blog!

Few reasons...
1. To keep track of my life or happenings.. and at the same time.. More people can get to know me better.. (:

2. It's basically a place where i can openly share things. I hope to put up readings, short teachings or whatever learnings that i receive and bless you people with it!

3. hmm.. i guess it's important to communicate to people about how and what I'm feeling and thinking..
